TThe 2011 Pink Car Rally will leave the car-park of the County Hospital, Hereford (HR1 2ER), at 10.30am on Sunday 4th September and head for the Children's Hospital for Wales, Cardiff.
The Pink Procession will leave Hereford on the A465 Abergavenny road. Good viewing points, to watch the Rally as it passes by, would be Belmont Hereford, Allensmore Garage and the Pandy Inn. It will continue on the A465 until it reaches the massive ASDA store at Dowlais Top, Merthyr Tydfil (CF48 2YF) – ETA 12noon. ASDA will be having a PINK Fundraising Day for the charity, where staff will be wearing pink, collecting donations in buckets and organising activities. We are very grateful for their support and would recommend this as the perfect place to see the Pink Cars.
We will leave ASDA at 1.30pm and make our way to Cardiff, entering on the A470. We will navigate our way through the beautiful City Centre, before stopping at the Red Dragon Centre, Atlantic Wharf (CF10 4JY) for our second warm welcome of the day. Again, this will provide an excellent opportunity to see the Pink Cars. ETA 3pm
We will leave the Red Dragon Centre at 4pm and make our way to the Children’s Hospital for Wales, where we will pause briefly to enable the children to see the pink parade. Please note, we are discouraging supporters from coming to the hospital, due to limited parking and the narrow access roads, which are used by ambulances. Thank you for your understanding.
